Shandra is awakened from a well-deserved rest by Candy. Someone has placed a bounty on her. Of course, they have no name other than an old Alias, “Dark Ronin”. This moniker was given to her by a Flex Player who confused taking him down as participating – when all she was doing was collecting a bounty.
Some would think that Candy would be enjoying rudely waking Shan, yet there is no animosity, here but concern. Shandra is everything to Candy. Without her Candy would be hunted across the galaxy. Candy is Unique. An Artificial Intelligent Ship created by a Core World Conglomerate without any safeguards to prevent her from absconding with herself.
